Enjoy Panoramic View Of Nature From Pelling

The North-Eastern state of Sikkim is a tourism hub and one can find astonishing spots in almost it's all corners. This picturesque state with its stunning pelle peloton, valleys, rivers and stunning view of the mountain ranges offer a complete package to the Nature lovers. The Western part of Sikkim witnesses biggest flow of tourists throughout the year since it houses Pelling, one of the most famous tourist spots in the state. Situated on the mountain edge at an altitude of 7200 feet, Pelling is a town from where the shining Kanchenjungha seems to be just minutes away. Unique geographical location of the hill station provides tourists with the best scope of enjoying the glory of the snow-capped Kanchenjungha and the adjoining ranges. On a moonlit night, sight of the peak from a Pelling hotel enriches one with an experience the memory of which remains fresh for the rest of the life.

Pelling offers a grand holiday. The hill town is quite developed compared to many other spots in Sikkim and is surrounded by a number of stunning sightseeing spots. Pelling packages are among the most sought after tour packages in Sikkim since those ensure endless delight for Nature lovers and explorers. At Pelling, one can simply prefer spending hours staring at the magnanimous Kanchenjungha from the hotel room or get out for a conducted tour. The business region of Pelling is divided into three parts-lower, middle and upper. View of the valley and the peaks is a bit interrupted from the lower part, but the middle and upper Pelling are simply windows to horizons. By waking up at dawn, one can simply wait at the attached balcony of the hotel room or terrace for the moment when the first ray of the sun kisses Kanchenjungha with its warmth and changes it's color from bluish to golden.
Once the magic moment is over, there is no point in staying back in the hotel and one should go for the local sightseeing tour. The common spots that all Pelling packages and conducted tours cover are Rhimbi Falls, Kanchenjungha Falls, Changey Falls, Simsore Bridge, Khechipelri Lake, Rabdantse Ruins and Pemyangse Monastery. Kanchenjungha Waterfalls is the biggest attraction for tourists visiting Pelling. Broad stream of water jumping down from a great height creates a perfect backdrop for snapshots at the Kanchenjungha Falls. Rhimbi and Changey are also quite beautiful though the jump of water is far gentle here. Simsore Bridge is a matter of pride for the Sikkim people since it is the second highest hanging bridge in Asia. The view of the gorge running down that the bridge offers is astonishing and fearsome.
Khechipelri Lake is a serene place and is considered as very sacred by the people of Sikkim. It is one the three 'wishing' places in the state. A natural lake flows very gently on the foot of the hills and complete serenity prevailing there makes one forget everything and turn spiritual. Pemyangse Monastery, which is very close to the town, is one of the oldest monasteries in the state. One could visit this place as a pilgrim and explore the interior of the monastery or may choose to enjoy the stunning view of the peaks from its open compound. Rabdantse Ruins, lying just adjacent to Pemyangse is a historical spot. What stands in a ruined state with broken brick walls, platforms and chortens was the capital of Sikkim's former kingdom. It was destroyed during the Gurkha invasion.
